Swinburne offers a range of programs to cater for designers wishing to further develop their skills and knowledge within the same discipline or to broaden their knowledge of other design disciplines. The Faculty offer discipline specific coursework programs in Communication Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Multimedia Design and Retail Design. With a focus on design studios, each program enables structured learning in creative strategies, design management and design technologies. Strong emphasis is placed on the reasoned, reflective and systematic development of design outcomes and harnessing creative strategy for competitive advantage. These programs are 1.5 years long, full time.

All programs are delivered to offer maximum flexibility for students. Students are able to fast-track, slow-track or complete the program in part-time mode (international students may have constraints to the level of part-time study). All programs have multiple entry and exit points.
