In 2006 Steven began teaching introductory and advanced units covering areas including 3D media, animation and multimedia design to secondary, tertiary and higher education scholars. A year later he was appointed to full time lecturer of Digital Media Design at Swinburne.

His relationships with leading industry professionals has provided a range of clients & programs that help bolster the curriculum and engage students with industry standards and client relations.  Steven’s methods have produced high quality and award winning outcomes (Examples).  He is also a main contributor to Swinburne’s growing online learning resources; developing a collection of free tutorial programs that continue to grown in popularity.

I find design to be a field where solutions are made for problems; be it, how can this look better, can it be communicated more effectively, or how can this be done without a physical event taking place? Digital Media Design is developing at a blistering speed; it moves with technology while at the same time drives the its development. It is a fascinating circle that continues to allow for more creative and interesting design to come to life.

Steven has previously worked as a freelance designer in Melbourne’s film & television industry developing video and interactive media. He recently started his own private practice producing new media outcomes such as 3D visualisations, visual effects, and interactive websites for local industry.
