Daniel Huppatz is a lecturer into the Bachelor of Design (Interior Design) program. He also works within the Design Research group within the Faculty, facilitating the Advanced Research Methods course for doctoral candidates.

From 2004-07, Daniel worked at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, teaching design history, where he developed courses on interior design history, design theory and Modernism in Asian design. He has numerous publications on design history, contemporary art, literature and architecture.

Daniel holds a Masters degree in Critical Theory from Monash University, and a PhD, also from Monash University, which focused on Hong Kong Design. Currently, his teaching, research and writing is focused on design history, particularly Asian modernism, design theory and contemporary interiors.
