Study Tours

Study Tours organised by the Faculty of Design provide undergraduate students with the opportunity to enrich their design education through exposure to new cultures and approaches to the design discipline. Students also find it a great way to build international networks.

Typical study tours last approximately 3 weeks and consist of 10 to 15 students. They are conducted during Swinburne Summer and Winter breaks.

Students will have the opportunity to expand their experience by working in a small design workshop/studio with students and academics at local universities. Visits will also be made to some local and international architecture and interior design practices. Students will investigate Vietnamese culture and design in a broader context through visits to the world cultural heritage site, Ha Long Bay and/or Vietnam's largest city, Ho Chi Minh City (Sai Gon).
