The Faculty of Design welcomes a large number of students who spend one or two semesters with us. These students arrive either as part of an exchange agreement or as a Study Abroad student.

A large number of Study Abroad students typically come from Europe and America but can be accepted from any institution. These are fee-paying students who want to experience design or film in Australia but come from institutions where we don’t have exchange agreements. Study abroad provides students with an international experience and gives them an opportunity to experience Melbourne and it varied culture.

* Please note that for Design and Film subjects, all applications require a portfolio of latest work.
Both Study Abroad and Exchange students have a wide range of units/subjects to choose from in the Faculty of Design. Exchange students typically need to negotiate with their own institution to see if the units are appropriate as the credits are transferred back into their home institution.
