Industry Placement is an experiential learning program for undergraduate students. It is conducted within a partnership arrangement between industry and the university and is designed to offer high achieving students the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a professional workplace environment while they continue their study at university.
Our Industry Placement program has been operating for over 40 years and is one of our most important teaching features at the Faculty of Design.
Students are chosen to participate in Industry Placement on the basis of their academic abilities and level of maturity to enter the workplace. They are placed locally, nationally and internationally in a workplace relevant to their area of study and intended future career for 24 or 48 weeks.
