Semester 1 2012 Program
Applications for semester 1 2012 have now closed.
The process of acceptance into the program and finding an employer will follow the stages outlined below:
- The Industry Placement mentors interview students to determine suitability for participation in the Industry Placement program.
- Interviews last approximately 15 - 20 minutes and give you the opportunity to present a folio or showreel of work from your second year, and respond to a series of questions.
- The panel will assess your suitability based on your presentation, attitude and enthusiasm.
- We recommend that you prepare for this interview as you would any other job interview. Please ensure that you are suitably attired, punctual, your folio is well presented, and you are able to talk confidently about your work.
- If you have an interest in pursuing a particular industry or company, please discuss your options and ambitions with the panel during your interview.
DO NOT approach any organisations without first talking to your Industry Placement mentor
- The Industry Placement Academic mentors will determine which applicants most suit an employer’s criteria and create a short list of suitable candidates.
- The selected students attend formal interviews at the employer’s workplace
- The employer selects the appropriate applicant for the job and sends the student a formal letter offering them a placement
