Swinburne Design Centre is a university based consultancy within the Faculty of Design. Design Centre delivers the unit 'Professional Practice' for honours and masters students in communication design, industrial design and multimedia design.
The focus is on execution of real projects for real clients with the aim of adding value to the client's business, the end-user and the community. Students are involved in briefing, design concept development, refinement, and implementation and production.
Applied design research projects are also carried out in commercial timeframes. Students are closely mentored by a management team of highly experienced designers, working together in a vibrant studio environment.
