Communication Design

Master of Design (Communication Design)

Applicants must submit an electronic portfolio as per faculty guidelines and have one of the following:
- a degree from a recognised tertiary institution with a minimum 60 per cent average plus three years' relevant work experience
- five years' full-time relevant work experience and provide a statement of purpose.
Design Anthropology
Master of Design (Design Anthropology)
Incorporating: Graduate Diploma of Design (Design Anthropology)
Application: Direct Entry (Semester 1)
Entry Requirements
Applicants must have one of the following:
- a degree from a recognised tertiary institution, with a 60 per cent average, in a design, social science (especially anthropology), humanities, information science or human-computer interaction discipline
- a degree in another discipline from a recognised tertiary institution and relevant industry experience
- relevant industry experience demonstrating potential to undertake work at this level (at least eight years).
An entrance essay and a design or design strategy portfolio is required for all applicants to the program. Applicants with a design background should prepare a design portfolio as per faculty guidelines. Other applicants must submit a design strategy portfolio consisting of a series of one-to-two-page project case studies that demonstrate the applicant's holistic approach to formulating and solving social challenges through anthropological and design thinking.
