Design and Film and television impact on all aspects of our culture from the minutiae of everyday life to matters of a broader social and economic sweep. It is an area with international opportunities and with double degrees available in Design and Business the horizon is even broader.
Swinburne’s Faculty of Design has a strong industry focus that permeates every course; and strategic partnerships in more than 30 countries. From Degree to PhD, we aim to produce graduates with additional confidence, a professional network, and an edge over their peers in an increasingly competitive job market.
Design students undertake a professional major in their area of specialisation e.g. Communication Design and combine it with either a co-major or two minors. Students can choose from a range of co-majors and minors that add depth and breadth to their degree. Most students have the option to accelerate or spread out their studies by undertaking units in Winter or Summer terms.
