Wantirna Campus

Wantirna is Swinburne's 'green' campus, with extensive horticulture facilities and a planned specialist sustainability building. Courses offered range from apprenticeships to diploma and certificate courses in the area of art and design, automotive, business and management, computing and information technology, engineering and electrical, horticulture and health and human services. Short courses in a wide range of subject areas are also offered in either day or evening classes. The campus is also home to the central administration of Swinburne's TAFE Division.
Features of the campus
Arts
Arts at Wantirna is a vibrant and productive environment where creativity abounds and is often on show within the central gallery area of the building. The Arts Department offers visual art - fine art, visual merchandising and product design exclusively at Wantirna campus, as well as multimedia and graphic design.
Automotive
The Department of Mechanical and Automotive Technology is widely regarded as a provider of first class programs using the latest in automotive training equipment. All courses provided by the department are industry focused and wherever possible, designed to meet the needs of individual students and employers.
Horticulture
The lovely gardens at Wantirna campus are due to the presence of our award-winning Department of Horticulture and Environmental Sciences. Students here are training for careers as landscape designers, nursery and parks and gardens staff, among others. Top facilities include a new landscape building and numerous green houses. The department's stand at the annual Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show has been consistently awarded major prizes.
