Swinburne Templates

The Swinburne website has recently gone through a redesign. New templates are now available through our web administration area. One of the major changes to the templates has been the moved from table based layouts to css layout. A css layout allows our templates to comply with accessibility standards and also allows faster loading pages while giving us the flexibility to make global changes to the website.

Swinburne has simplied down to three web templates



Template 1

Similar in structure to the previous templates, the new templates incorporate the new banner styles.

Breadcrumbs

The new template features the option to include breadcrumbs. These are created based on your left navigation menu. It can be turned on or off through the web administration area.

Template 2

Similar to the previous templates, template two incorporates a right hand area to include more information.

Quicksearch

Quicksearch box can be incoporated into your pages these can be set up by the web deparment on request.  Other searches that can be included are course search, both domestic and/or international.

Quicklinks and Link Buttons

A Quicklinks section has been created to include links to other areas. Link buttons can be used to highlight certain area of your page.

Template 3

A new template has been design to allow publishers to include large images on their pages.
This templates is generally used for the homepage of a site.

Feature Tiles
New feature tiles have been created to replace the older red feature tiles. These can be created by the web department on request. A large selection are available from our image gallery.
