Detailing of Interface Requirements
It is important that all web projects at Swinburne adhere to W3C standards and Swinburne's web style guidelines.
W3C standards:
- Swinburne has a number of students and staff with disabilities which impact upon their ability to access information via the web.
- Cross Browser/Platform issues, a standard compliant code is more likely to be portable and perform as expected in multiple browsers/platforms.
- Code quality and maintainability, the code produced should be written bearing in mind other developers future maintenance.
- It is encouraged the validation of the html code through W3C validation services, located at: http://validator.w3.org/.

- Swinburne's web style guidelines are designed to foster a consistent approach to interface design across the University.
