AQTF - Surveys

Under the AQTF 2007, Swinburne TAFE (like other registered training organisations) is required to collect and use data on the three Quality Indicators which include Learner Engagement, Employer Satisfaction and Competency Completion. The first two of these require us to implement standard surveys developed by ACER and formally report the results. SPQ has made these surveys available to teaching departments in a number of formats and will process, analyse and report the results as required.

  • Learner Engagement – This indicator focuses on the extent to which learners are engaging in activities likely to promote high-quality skill outcomes and includes learner perceptions of the quality of their competency development and the support they receive or have received. The survey associated with this indicator is the Learner Questionnaire. Swinburne staff can access more detailed information including internal reports relating to this survey results from here.
  • Employer Satisfaction – This indicator focuses on employer evaluation of learner competency development and the relevance of learner competencies for work and further training, as well as employer evaluation of the overall quality of the training and assessment. The survey associated with this quality indicator is called the Employer Questionnaire. Swinburne staff can access more detailed information including internal reports relating to this survey results from here.
