2008 Institution Assessment Framework Information Collection

The University prepares an annual portfolio of information to be submitted to the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations and the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research.. This is known as the Institution Assessment Framework Information Collection IAFIC, and it contains a great deal of information about Swinburne's performance in the following key areas:

• organisational sustainability
• achievements in higher education provision
• quality of outcomes
• compliance with legislation and programme guidelines, including acquittal of funding.

In addition, IAFIC data is used for:

- monitoring of equity programmes
- reporting to Parliament on Indigenous Education outcomes
