Benchmarking Reports
Benchmarking at Swinburne - Policy and Procedure
Benchmarking is an important
component of Swinburne's quality management system. Units within
the University are benchmarking to compare performance with the
performance of other organisations (usually other universities)
to discover good practice and drive improvements.
The 'Benchmarking at Swinburne' Policy and Procedure defines the
University's approach to benchmarking to ensure that information
from organisational units undertaking formal benchmarking projects
is recorded centrally. This approach allows project results to be
available to the University community for improving practices, and
for developing a long term view of the University's performance.

the above report to see if similar projects have been undertaken.
If still appropriate, please register your project here.
The Strategic Planning and Quality Unit is responsible for gathering
information and administering the database. At project completion,
SQP provides results to relevant organisational units, and updates
the Benchmarking database.
