Description & Purpose

The purpose of a Status Letter is to verify a student’s current or past enrolment at Swinburne University of Technology.

It is used to apply for permanent residency, Centrelink checks, application to various professional organizations, proof of student status at banks etc.

There is no charge for a Status Letter.

Processing Time

A status letter generally take two (2) working days to process, however at peak times (December to March period) it may take up to four (4) working days.

Application Procedure

You can lodge it by fax, mail or in person at any Student Information Centre at any Swinburne campus.

Information on lodgement is listed on the application form.

Note: To avoid delays, please remember to attach a photocopy of a photo ID of yourself with your application unless you are lodging it in person. We will sight your photo ID when you show up in person.
