VTAC Entry

Higher Education Courses/Programs

Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT)

For courses with STAT test listed under Extra Requirements: The following applicants must sit the STAT Multiple Choice test if they.

Do not satisfy the Minimum tertiary entry requirements (see both VTAC Minimum Tertiary Entrance Requirements and also Swinburne's Non Year 12 Minimum Requirements), including Comparable Qualifications; or

Have no school, TAFE or university results recent enough to be considered for entry (i.e. within the past 7 years); or

Have TAFE or other tertiary qualifications with ungraded assessment (only have pass/fail results rather than actual grades) and no other basis for entry; or

Have VCAL or other secondary study with ungraded assessment (only have pass/fail results rather than actual grades) but no other basis for entry; or

Have an ENTER score attained prior to 2007 which is below the 2008 Clearly-In ENTER score for the course.

Applicants should note that because of the demand for places in a course, meeting the above criteria does not guarantee entry into a program.

Further Information
Registration to sit the STAT Multiple Choice test is made at the time of application to a course; by completing the relevant question in the online VTAC application. For further information about registration, venues, sitting dates and fees related to the STAT test refer to the Admissions Tests page on the VTAC website.

If you are unsure about whether you need to sit the STAT Multiple Choice test contact the Faculty administering the course you are intending to study.
