Most information from the previous year's timetable is uploaded into SDICS which results in very little data entry in the major areas of data requirement.
 
Easy access reports are available to be downloaded to the local desktop.  
 
The system is accessed permission based, thereby ensuring that the data entered is solely by those with rights to do so.
 
SDICS has different levels of access depending on the type of user and the stage of data checking. Timetable Representative (TTR) can enter/modify data, while TTA's can only view data. However both user types can run reports at any time while the system is open.
 
There are different stages of opening, the first is Confirmation Stage, which will allows verification to the data in the system and changes if necessary, the next is Review Stage which allows changes to activities and from time to time SDICS will be either be Closed or put into Audit Mode for some users.
