Graduations and Ceremonies
Students must fill in a form to receive their testamur (certificate/award) and/or a letter of completion. This can be done during the final semester of study, before you sit final exams/assessments and before receive your results! Application for Award/Graduate should be submitted by the closing date:
26 September 2008 for December International Ceremonies (International Students only)
22 December 2008 for March - May 2009 Ceremonies (All students)

When
we receive an award application, we then seek approval
about each student's eligibility to graduate with that
award from their Faculty or School. |
Award
Application Procedure Higher Education
All students must apply for
their award. An award application can be collected from
your School or department's enquiries counter; from the Student
Information Centre, Hawthorn campus, or it can be downloaded
(see Forms
- Student Administration).
Three Steps to
graduation
| 1. |
Submit
your Award Application. This can be done via mail, fax,
or by putting the form in and paying at any cashier on
any campus. (The Cashier will forward the form to us). |
| 2. |
Your
award application is then deemed eligible or ineligible
by your School |
| 3. |
You
will be sent information about the ceremony approximately
3 weeks prior to the graduation date, or if not attending,
your certificate will be posted to you approximately two
weeks after the ceremony. |
If
you are ineligible You will receive a letter to state the
reasons why you are ineligible. Please contact your School directly
if you have enquiries. The Awards and Ceremonies Section does
not make decisions regarding a student's eligibility.

International students may apply for either local or international
graduation ceremony.
All students
must apply for their award. This procedure applies to all
TAFE courses, Certificate III and below (the certificate will be mailed to you at the end of May or October) or Certificate IV and above (you have the
option of attending a graduation ceremony).
