Women In Leadership Diversity Program
This is a very exciting program that aims to develop diversity in Swinburne's leadership, especially of womens' potential and management skills.
Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce the launch of the of the Swinburne Women and Leadership Diversity (WILD) Program. This is a very exciting program that aims to develop diversity in Swinburne's leadership, especially of women’s potential and management skills. The program will have a particular focus on disciplines and activities that remain fairly traditionally structured, for historical and other reasons.
...This is a three year program and I encourage those who have expressed interest in the program to stay in touch with the program. Your support is critical. There will be networking opportunities and events available to the wider Swinburne community where staff will be able to meet with the organisers, sponsors and (the 21) participants...
Swinburne will invite interested persons in the executive positions within Swinburne and the participants' working environment to become sponsors in the sense of suggesting projects or elements of projects that might be developed by participants and advance their business objectives. This would provide participants with a potential variety of different projects, which would have a direct and positive impact on Swinburne's business outcomes.
...I am looking forward to seeing the positive changes the program will bring to Swinburne and offer my full support to continue your involvement with the program and in supporting your colleagues in the program.
Yours sincerely,
Ian Young
Vice-Chancellor and President
Swinburne University of Technology
