Whistleblower Protection Policy
As a public body under the Act, the University is required to have in place procedures for the making of disclosures, protecting whistleblowers and investigating disclosures. The procedure for making disclosures about the University are set out in the University’s Whistleblower Protection Policy.

This procedure does not replace the University’s existing grievance procedures and are to be used only if a staff member, student or member of the public wishes to make a disclosure about alleged improper conduct or detrimental action and seeks protection under the Act.
The University does not tolerate improper conduct by its staff and students and does not support the taking of reprisals against those who come forward to disclose such conduct.
The University will take reasonable steps to protect people who make such disclosures, in good faith, from any detrimental action or reprisal for making the disclosure. Additionally, the University is conscious of the rights of persons against whom allegations are made.
