Current Building Projects
The Facilities & Services Group is
currently working on a range of projects including both major capital
works and minor works. The Facilities & Services Group is dedicated
to ongoing improvement in the University's building assets. Please

Engineering North (EN) Building
The EN building has been completely refurbished to accommodate a new work/traffic flow throughout the building. Academic offices are now located on the upper two levels with the lower levels comprising general purpose teaching rooms, computer laboratories and specialist engineering laboratories. On the ground floor, outdated dirty engineering spaces have been replaced by three separate tiered lecture theatres. Building infrastructure including air handling systems, lighting, toilets, stairwell upgrades were also updated in the building refurbishment program.
TAFE 'D' Building
A major refurbishment program for the TD building was undertaken to change the building from under utilised old welding workshop spaces to create new multi purpose, flexible learning spaces. A mezzanine level was built to maximise the use of available space. The new spaces include flexible learning spaces, computer laboratories, general purpose teaching, student lounge, offices and a tiered lecture theatre on the ground floor.
Library
Building
The Library Refurbishment project included the upgrade of space on all five levels of the Library building. A new Open Access Computer Laboratory was created on level 1, to support 24hour access for students. Work on other levels included new learning and research spaces, offices and meeting rooms. The front door of the Library opens onto the Atrium space that is furnished with outdoor furniture, has wireless facilities and a coffee outlet to provide relaxation and casual meeting space for the students.
