The Atrium
John Street, Hawthorn Campus
This smart, high-tech and sustainable campus atrium, believed to
be the only one of its kind in Australia is available to hire for
events and exhibitions. The structure is built from ethylene tera-fluro
ethylene (ETFE), a material initially developed for the space industry.
The EFTE material is completely transparent, allowing
the Atrium to be lit naturally, while protecting the users
from pollution and ultra-violet light. The beautiful light-filled
Atrium covers the area between the Business and Arts and Library
buildings on the Hawthorn Campus. The space is filled with tables
and chairs, providing an
outdoor area where students can socialise and study
in any weather.
