Wardens
The role of a Swinburne warden is to primarily assist the building and University wardens by performing the search and evacuation duties for the building. Warden's should check the designated area around them and inform building occupants they need to evacuate. When their area is cleared, they report to the building warden relevant details about their search and wait for further instructions. To assist them in their roles, wardens undertake a ½ day training session with regular refreshers. To practice their skills and be confident in their role, wardens actively participate in trial building evacuations when these are scheduled. Warden's are also to communicate to the University warden any adverse findings post trial or real life events which may have occurred.
