Voluntary work placements enable Swinburne University of Technology students working individually and/or in groups to use their transferable skills to undertake projects and tasks for business and industry, community organisations and government departments.

The recommended time is between 40 to 80 hours per semester, individual cases may be negotiated with Emma O'Connell, Co-ordinator. The work experience program must take place in commercial premises, home based businesses are not eligible.

Complete the Online Application Form for project approval. Project is advertised on SwinEmploy and students apply directly to employer. Complete and return Host Organisation Induction/Safety form in order for student to be covered under the university insurance program. Employer will be sent a copy of the Certificate of Currency when Host Organisation form is received.
