The Centre for Career Development builds relationships with the business, not for profit and public sectors to facilitate the employment of our students and recent graduates. We partner with employers to ensure our students and recent graduates are aware of opportunities in your organisation and raise your profile among our students. Be it advertising your vacancies, promoting your graduate program to a targeted group of students or organising interaction with our students, we are able to assist.


Advertise vacancies to our students

The SwinEmploy online employment board is the place for you to advertise your current employment opportunities to our students and recent graduates. We accept advertisements for:

  • Part-time positions
  • Vacation positions
  • Casual positions
  • Graduate positions
  • Full-time positions

All advertisements on SwinEmploy are subject to our guidelines. To advertise an employment opportunity you will first need to register for SwinEmploy.

Advertise for a private tutor

Do you need a private tutor for primary, secondary or tertiary studies?

Swinburne students are available to provide private tutoring in a range of subjects.

Complete the tutor request form and your details will be advertised to students. Interested students will contact you directly.

Interact with our students

The Centre for Career Development provides you with numerous opportunities throughout the year to interact with our students. We can help you:

  • Organise and promote on-campus employer information sessions
  • Participate in webinars with our students
  • Join industry panels or present in classes and workshops
  • Present or exhibit at our discipline focused Student Careers Conferences
  • Participate in employer/student networking events
  • Host students as part of our business insight program. This program provides you with the opportunity of raising your profile by having a small group of students visit your workplace to learn about workplace culture and professional roles

Get your message to students in a specific course

The Centre for Career Development can assist promote your organisation to specific groups of students. We can use either email or mail to send your message to the student cohort you select. A great way to generate interest in your graduate program or other opportunity.

Employing international students who have recently graduated

Employers interested in hiring international students who have recently graduated should know about the Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa. This visa is for international students who have recently graduated from an Australian educational institution and it allows them to gain practical work experience to accompany their Australian qualification.
