Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for supporting Swinburne University’s Employment Fair in 2012. The following arrangements have been put in place to facilitate another successful day.

Swinburne staff will be on hand to assist you with your queries on the day.  They will be in red tops and will be present at the Hawthorn Town Hall from 9:00 am.

Swinburne students will be provided with coloured dot labels to indicate their study area. Matching dots will be attached to your booth:

  • Engineering/Industrial Sciences
  • Business & Enterprise
  • Information Technology
  • Social Science
  • Science
  • Design

Marketing material such as display/Information items should be couriered directly to the Hawthorn Town Hall, from the afternoon of 12 March, after 2.00 pm, or in the morning of 13 March, from 8.00 am.

Drop off point will be easiest at the main town hall entrance on Burwood Road. In the morning of 13 March we will have some helpers in place to assist you with unpacking. However, to avoid delays at the front door we recommend you have large items or quantities of advertising material delivered on 12 March. Please make sure your goods are properly labelled (name of organisation and ‘Swinburne University Employment Fair’). If the your delivery service needs assistance in finding the location, the hall keeper is Jamie Chinga. Contact: 0439 651 254.

Set up of Booths - Employers will be able to set up their booths from 9:00am on the fair day. We suggest you arrive well before 11:00am to drop your information packs prior to parking.  Students will be given access to the fair at 12:00 noon. Details of your stand allocations will be clearly displayed on the booth walls in the Hall.  Please note there is no Internet access provided on site.

Pack Up – after 3:00pm on the fair day.

Powered sites – if requested in your booking one outlet is provided to your booth, to which a power board can be attached, should you require additional outlets.

Light Lunch  will be served in the Foyer upstairs, between 11.00 am and 1.00 pm. Drinks will be available all day. Toilets are located at the main entrance on the ground floor.

Parking Options

  • Taxi – as it is a busy location the easiest option would be for you to use a taxi. Please note: you will be required to book your own taxi for the return journey.
  • Limited Reserved parking is available on campus at the multi-deck car park (Wakefield St, off Glenferrie Rd). Parking will be on a ‘first come first served basis’.
  • Alternatively limited parking may be available behind the Town Hall - at your own expense.  Entrance via Kent St (off Burwood Rd) or Oxley St (off Glenferrie Rd).
