Careers in the Curriculum
Careers in the Curriculum (CIC) is part of the major Swinburne Professional Learning initiative. The unit is available to all Swinburne University Higher Education students. From 2007, all commencing Swinburne undergraduate students will be required to complete the zero-cost CIC subject.
CIC is offered in three flexible modes
- A one semester (10 one-hour weekly) subject (offered in both semester 1 & 2 at Hawthorn & Lilydale)
- 2 day Intensive: Winter Term (Hawthorn) & Semester 2 mid semester break (Prahran & Lilydale)
- Online: follow Lectopia Lectures & Powerpoint presentations through Blackboard

- Understand employer expectations
- Develop your interview skills
- Enhance your online applications and job search
- Participate in a mock Assessment Centre
- Develop a personal Career Action Plan
