Plan Skills Workshop

Book a Career Education Unit: Plan Skills Development - BSBCMN104A

The Careers and Employment unit (TAFE division) delivers the accredited unit - BSBCMN104A Plan Skills Development (PSD) to various departments as negotiated.

The unit covers the skills and knowledge necessary to identify and document current skills and plan future skills development. On completion of this unit, students will have prepared a resume and cover letter which forms the basis of assessment for this subject. The unit is typically delivered over 4 - 5 weeks (x 2 hours per session) and we welcome the opportunity to incorporate this into the delivery of all TAFE courses. Teaching materials (and if necessary, delivery mode) are customised to the particular department to which we are delivering the unit.

PSD provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge to assist them in finding paid employment or if they choose to make the transition into a Higher Education (HEd) course. Students who have successfully completed the PSD unit and choose to articulate from a Swinburne TAFE course to a Swinburne HEd course, will gain an exemption for the compulsory Careers in the Curriculum (CIC) subject.
