"I have had my resume checked by numerous resume writers, however i found your feedback to contain one of the most insightful comments provided to me so far. The single most important thing you told me, and others missed this completely, is that it's what you've done [the skills] that's important, and not the CONTEXT of what you've done. ..... because if necessary you can put the CONTEXT into a cover letter. I changed my resume to give it more focus on the skills and removed the vast amounts of detail that only my previous employers would understand. thanks for all your advice...it worked!!!!!!! Today I took my new improved resume along to an agency and was given an interview on the spot! Thanks for all your help I feel really confident that I will get a job very soon". |
