Communicate
In the Copyright
Act 1968 the right to 'communicate to the public' is one
of the exclusive rights of copyright owners.
It was introduced into
the Act as part of the Digital Agenda reforms in 2001.
It refers
to distribution via electronic means to one or more recipients and
includes making available online (on both open and restricted access
networks) and sending via email.
