Enrolment procedures

All students need to ensure they are enrolled in the correct program. Please check your letter of offer.

Changing your enrolment

You may only change your enrolment after you have been given permission by the Director of Studies (DOS) or Program Leader.

Leave of absence

Government regulations are extremely strict regarding leave of absences (LOA). Any change in your enrolment may result in your visa being withdrawn.

You must have permission from your DOS or Program Leader, and have it signed by an International Student Adviser, before it can be approved.

Changing address

You must notify Swinburne of your change of address within five days or you may be at risk of having your visa cancelled. You can update your address and other contact details via Swinburne’s online student administration service, SwinLink.

Student ID cards

Student identity (ID) cards are issued by the Student Information Centre.

ID cards are issued to all new students who have paid their fees and who are enrolled in a course of more then 10 weeks duration. All ELICOS students – regardless of the length of their course – also receive a student ID card. Your ID card is also your library card.

Follow the link below for more information about:

  • Lost/stolen cards
  • How changes to personal and enrolment details affect your card
  • How your ID card is renewed.

Student Email

Swinburne uses live@edu for its student email system.
