I was involved in a capstone project undertaken as part of my bachelor’s degree. A number of different projects were available and I was glad to be given my first choice. I was assigned to a group comprising four students. We were given the task to build a web-based application to aid helicopter pilots in the generation of flight plans while producing a number of additional documents in what is known as a Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). The concepts were all part of previous units from our degrees and the project’s aim was to give us the opportunity to put all this into practice.
