Student Services and Amenities Fee

The federal government has passed legislation to allow universities to charge students an annual fee to fund student services and facilities. Services may include: childcare, counselling, legal, health, housing and employment.

Swinburne will comply with this legislation and introduce a Student Services and Amenities Fee on an annual basis, from 1 January 2012.

Students will be able to defer the payment through a HELP loan scheme similar to FEE-HELP and HECS-HELP providing they do this within the approved deadlines for submitting this information.

booksChecking your student email

Your student email is one of the two official channels that the university uses to communicate with you (the other is by post).

You are responsible for regularly checking your student email account. Not doing so could cause you to miss vital information regarding course enrolments, student elections, new courses, library notices, class changes and other updates.  More information about how Swinburne communicates with students is available online.

You can redirect this official correspondence to another email address.

Important fee reminder for all students

Please note payment due dates for some students are up to, and during, the end of year break. It is your responsibility to ensure that these fees are paid on time to avoid any late fees and system blocks.

Please email the below contacts for further information:
