Ramkhamhaeng University Visit

On 22 May 2007, a delegation of 79 students and 13 Professors from Ramkhamhaeng University, Bangkok, Thailand, visited Swinburne University of Technology, Faculty of Business and Enterprise to undertake a one day International Development Management Program.

The Program was initiated by Ms Natthada Pimsarn (Swinburne International in-country Thailand Manager) and Ms Justine Koster (Business Development Coordinator - International) for the purpose of international university linkage and collaboration and marketing of our Master Programs to potential international students.

In Bangkok in March 2007, Justine Koster signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Political Science, Ramkhamhaeng University, Associate Professor Anongthip Eksaengsri, to cooperate in the development of an International Executive Education Program for Master of Arts (Public Management) students from Ramkhamhaeng University.

The Program included a welcome address by the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Enterprise, Professor David Hayward, a campus tour and a full, one day, academic Program consisting of a lecture in Human Resource Management and workshops.

The academic Program was convened by Mr Richard Ballantyne, Lecturer, Human Resource Management and Program Director, Master of Business (HRM) and supported by Dr Janet Gregory and Ms Joanne Fenton for the workshops.

Students and staff from Ramkhamhaeng University received Certificates of Participation and were very happy with the reception and the Program that the Faculty prepared.

This was a very successful university linkage with potential for future collaboration.


International Scholar Laureate Program on Business visit to Swinburne University

The Faculty of Business and Enterprise hosted an interactive session for the International Scholar Laureate program's 76 US students on May 21 2007. The US delegation included undergraduate and postgraduate students from universities around the United States, and representatives from Present Australia, a specialist interest tour company.

The Program included a welcome address by the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Enterprise, Professor David Hayward, and an Opportunity Evaluations session run by Professor Tom McKaskill which allowed the US students to interact and work with local students in group activities. Ms Barbara Evans, Dr Julie Foreman, Dr Julian Lippi and Mr Janusz Tanas facilitated the team Opportunity Evaluations exercises.

The visit provided the opportunity for networking, in addition to showcasing the Faculty's programs and Professor Tom McKaskill's engaging presentations.

MIntA Program Visit

On 16 September 2006, a delegation of 49 students and 5 professors from the National Economics University (NEU), in Vietnam, visited Swinburne University of Technology, Faculty of Business and Enterprise to undertake a two week accounting subject as part of the Master of International Accounting program. > More information on the MIntA program

MIntA Award Ceremony

On 13 March 2007, NEU Business School and Swinburne University of Technology held the award ceremony for the 6th cohort of master students from the International Accounting Master program. Attending the ceremony, was Prof Sc D Tran Van Nhung, Vice Minister of Ministry of Education and Training, Prof Dr Nguyen Van Thuong, Rector of National Economics University, Prof Stephan Connelly, Pro Vice Chancellor (International & Development) of Swinburne University of Technology. > More information
