Stephen Kapnoullas graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from Melbourne University in 1971. He also holds a Masters degree in law, a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Diploma of Education from Melbourne University.

After practising as a solicitor on a full-time basis for several years Stephen embarked on an academic career in 1981 as a lecturer in law, and since 1989 has been employed as a senior lecturer in law.

Stephen has lectured in Contract Law for approximately thirty years and in Marketing Law for a number of years. He has also taught Law for Global Business, Company Law, and in units in the Masters of Accounting and Masters of Engineering

He has also developed and delivered in-house training courses for organisations such as Siemens Australia, Fletcher Challenge and Tenix Defence Systems.

Research Profile

Stephen has published extensively in several prominent law journals, including the Melbourne University Law Review and the Journal of Contract Law, predominantly in the areas of contract, marketing and company law. In addition, he has co-authored a text titled Law for Retailers in Australia. He was also formerly Associate Editor of Current Commercial Law, published by the Law Book Company.
