John is a pracademic who is interested in teaching leadership, followership and team dynamics, negotiating and strategic relationships. Trained in Gestalt therapy, he uses Swinburne\'s model of emotional intelligence, Genos EI, for educational and consulting purposes. How to help people to bring themselves to their roles and to be psychologically present at work are abiding interests. These are founded upon and informed by a humanistic existential world view. He joined SUT in 1977 having worked with BHP and Shell Australia in HRM and organisation development. John convened the Gestalt in Organisations Group [GOG] for many years and is now a member of its leadership group. He is a member of Gestalt ANZ, Group Relations Australia , Organisation Development Australia and the Australian Facilitators\' Network and of the Editorial Board of the Gestalt Journal ANZ.
