Amanda completed her LLB (Hons) and BA at The University of Melbourne before being admitted to practice as an Australian Legal Practitioner in the Supreme Court of Victoria. She was a practicing solicitor at Browne & Co. for several years and worked on a variety of commercial law matters for a broad spectrum of clients, including the Australian Football League and Cricket Australia. Prior to joining Swinburne, Amanda was a Melbourne Law School Teaching Fellow at The University of Melbourne. She has recently completed her PhD in Law at The University of Melbourne, titled 'A History of Trade Mark Law in Australia: The Colonial Trade Mark Regime.'

Research Interests

Amanda's current research interests are in the area of intellectual property law. She is particularly interested in trade mark law, which was the subject of her PhD. Amanda is also interested in trade practices and competition law.
