Swinburne offers a wide variety of scholarships to prospective and current students recognising excellence in academic achievement, community service, financial hardship, disabilities and the relocation of studies from regional areas.
Future Students
- Vice-Chancellor's ScholarshipSwinburne Vice-Chancellor's Scholarships exempt the Faculty of Business and Enterprise students from paying the Student Contribution Amount.
- Dean's Scholars ProgramStudents entering the program receive $800 annual book allowance, up to $1000 annually towards appropriate professional development or leadership programs, and one-to-one mentoring. Students will also be part of the Dean’s Scholars network.
- Sir Reginald Ansett ScholarshipSir Reginald Ansett Trust was established in July 2010 to provide grants for public charitable purposes in Australia, with an emphasis on assisting children/young people to take their place in life. CLOSED
- Yulgibar Social Impact ScholarshipThe scholarship is open to indigenous students enrolled in (but not yet commenced) the Graduate Certificate in Social Impact at Swinburne University of Technology.
- Fred P Archer Trust ScholarshipsIn 2011 the Asia-Pacific Centre for Social Investment and Philanthropy is offering two Trust Foundation sponsored scholarships to students enrolling in the Graduate Certificate of Commerce (Social Investment and Philanthropy).

Current Students
- T.W. Higgins Scholarship A bequest was made to the Faculty of Business & Enterprise by the late Tom Higgins, former President and Life Governor of Swinburne. From this bequest the Faculty of Business & Enterprise awards the T.W. Higgins scholarship annually. CLOSED
- brWellington Accounting Scholarship Melbourne based accounting and consulting agency, brWellington, has made a generous commitment of one $6,000 scholarship for a second year undergraduate Accounting or Accounting & Finance student within the Faculty of Business & Enterprise.
- Charles d'Aprano Memorial Scholarship The Charles D’Aprano Award is a prize administered in conjunction with the Italian and European Studies area of the Faculty of Business and Enterprise and is designed to recognise and encourage academic achievement and leadership qualities.

PhD and Research Students
- Chancellors Research Scholarship (CRS) The Swinburne University Chancellor’s Research Scholarship (CRS ) is the University’s premier research award. They are awarded to students of exceptional research potential to undertake a higher degree by research (HDR).
- Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) Australian Postgraduate Awards are available to domestic students with a First Class Honours result or equivalent, to support their study towards a Higher Degree by Research. Awards are available in all Discipline areas.
- Swinburne University Postgraduate Research Awards (SUPRA) Swinburne University Postgraduate Research Awards offer a non-taxable indexed stipend of around $22,500 p.a. in 2010 and a tuition fee scholarship (total value: around $40kp.a.) for up to three years for doctoral studies and two years for Masters by research.
- Swinburne University Vice Chancellor’s Research Scholarships (VCRS) Swinburne University Vice Chancellor’s Research Scholarships offer a non-taxable indexed stipend of around $22,500 p.a. in 2010 and a tuition fee scholarship (total value: around $40kp.a.) for up to three years for doctoral studies and two years for Masters by research.
- Research Training Scheme (RTS) All commencing higher degree by research places for Australian residents are funded by the Australian Government under the Research Training Scheme (RTS). Successful domestic candidates will hold the allocated RTS place for the period of the candidature: up to a maximum of four years of full-time equivalent funding for doctoral students and two years for research masters.
