Our Research
Welcome to the Faculty of Business and Enterprise research website. As Associate Dean (Research) I am immensely proud of the research undertaken by our staff and students. With 120 academic staff and 60 higher degree research students, our research spans a range of traditional and emerging concerns in business and society.
Our research recognizes the diverse challenges facing business enterprises across the private, community and public sectors. The practical, evidence-based research we do seeks innovative solutions to economic and social problems in the business domain.
Whether it’s about increasing the performance of enterprises or developing a sustainable built environment, promoting social entrepreneurship and philanthropy or examining the consequences of workforce ageing and immigration for work, our research is always cutting edge, policy oriented and seeking to solve problems. The research themes in this website give you a flavour of the main research endeavours being pursued, however, they are not exhaustive. For more information, we hope you will search our staff and centre profiles and the great store of research outputs contained in Swinburne Research Bank.
