The Maimonides Society Winter 2010 gathering, with guest speakers Kristi Mansfield and Julia Keady
Information:
"Marketing and media: For new and progressive philanthropic campaigns"

Australian grantmakers have not typically used marketing campaigns as an important tool in their work yet as philanthropists rethink their role and its potential for creating social change, marketing media and communications becomes a priority.

The success of the 'Women Mobilising Millions' launch clearly indicates the impact that marketing can have and that there is media interest in new and progressive philanthropic campaigns.

Both our guest speakers are professionals working in philanthropy. Kristi Mansfield is Director of the Greenstone Group and will share her insights on why marketing, media and communications are important tools for philanthropists who want to build momentum on issues, support social movements and extend their funding impact. She will draw on the experience of recent Greenstone Group campaigns, including 'Women Mobilising Millions', as well as other recently launched campaigns such as GenerationOne, funded by Andrew Forrest, James Packer, Kerry Stokes and Lindsay Fox.
