Who Are We?
The Swinburne Philanthropy Alumni (SPA) is past and present students of the Asia-Pacific Centre for Philanthopy and Social Investment at Swinburne University. Whether you have attended a workshop or formal postgraduate studies. SPA aims to network and further develop the knowledge of philanthropy students.
SPA Trust
In November 2005 SPA members established the SPA Trust, a sub-fund located within the Greater Melbourne Foundation. The Trust is administered by the Lord Mayors Charitable Fund, Melbourne, Victoria.
The purpose of the sub-fund is to reflect the practice of philanthropy amongst the SPA:
- Create a giving group.
- Comply with legal requirements.
- Raise funds.
- Discuss and deliver grants in the most effective way possible.
