Faculty Overseas Programs Loan Fund
The Faculty of Business & Enterprise (FBE) Overseas Programs Loan Fund is made available to students participating in the international programs offered by the Faculty of Business & Enterprise:
- Treviso Program
- European Study Tour
- Pacific Rim Study Tour
- Work Experience Abroad (Japan & Europe) and
- Study Abroad/Exchange Students Program
The aim of such a loan is to assist students participating in these programs with the scheduled costs of each program. It is not for associated expenses of travel either side of the program.
Eligibility
Any Swinburne student (enrolled in any Swinburne award) who is enrolled in an FBE subject related to the Treviso program, the two FBE study tours or the two FBE work experience subjects. The loan funds are also available for exchange / study abroad students enrolled in FBE awards but not for students enrolled in other Swinburne faculties. Students may be part-time, full-time or International students.
Purpose
To assist with the scheduled cost of the above mentioned programs.
Maximum Loan
The maximum loan is 50% of the scheduled cost of Treviso, European Study Tour, Pacific Rim Study Tour and $2,000 for Supervised Work Experience Abroad (Japan & Europe) and Study Abroad/ Exchange Students.
Duration of Loan
The loan is to be repaid as soon as possible, maximum of 12 months or by the 31st of October (or 31st May) in final year, whichever is earlier.
How to Apply
Make an appointment with the Financial Adviser on Campus and bring to the interview details from the Faculty outlining the scheduled costs, student's full budget details (income and expense information) and a plan for repayment.
