European Union Study Tour
Swinburne's annual European Union Study Tour is a unique opportunity for students to visit key centres of the dynamic and increasingly integrated European Union. Throughout the tour, officials and business experts will brief the group on current political and commercial issues.
The tour includes visits to the EU Parliament, the European Commission, EU official banking institutions, the European Court of Justice, the OECD, business and industry organisations, Austrade European market specialists and trade exhibitions.
Past destinations have included Berlin, Enschede, Brussels, Paris, Luxembourg, Frankfurt, Strasbourg, Turin and Milan.
The tour is led by Dr Bruno Mascitelli, Senior Lecturer in Italian and European Studies, who has extensive practical and research experience in international business in Europe and Australia.
The tour is undertaken as an additional unit: HBI390N European Union Study Tour (25 credit points), which includes preparatory briefings in Semester 2 before departure, and requires a final report after returning.
