Can I organise my own IBL placement?

Yes, but you must contact the IBL Manager to discuss your intentions and to seek approval prior to entering into discussion with a potential employer. Any organisation you approach needs to be aware of the requirements of the IBL program for both the student and employer. This written information can be obtained from the IBL Manager.

Can I undertake two six-month placements?

Yes, it is possible. Some accounting students have done two placements in two different companies. Other students have done one placement relating to their first major and a second six months in a placement relating to their second major, e.g. Accounting and HRM, HRM and Marketing.
However the applications of students who have already completed one six-month placement MAY be considered after those who have not yet had the chance to complete an IBL placement.
