TAFE Pathways

TAFE to University

The Faculty of Business and Enterprise offers a variety of special Pathways programs for students with a relevant TAFE qualification, such as a diploma or advanced diploma. These Pathways allow you entry into Swinburne's Bachelor of Commerce degrees with exemptions, making the duration of your course shorter.

What can you get?
Pathways from TAFE to a Bachelor of Commerce
Qualification Maximum exemptions Minimum time to complete
Advanced Diploma 12 Units 1.5 Years
Diploma 8 Units 2.0 Years
Certificate IV 4 Units 2.5 Years

Note; The maximum exemptions awarded are dependent on the area of study an applicant has previously undertaken. Minimum time is based on applicants selecting a three year Bachelor of Commerce degree. Applicants undertaking a language double degree should increase the minimum time to complete by one year.

If you answered yes to all of the above then you are eligible to apply for TAFE Pathways.

If you are unsure you meet the criteria, contact the Faculty of Business and Enterprise to discuss your options for Semester 2 2011.

2. Choose your professional major

Every Bachelor of Commerce student selects a professional major, which is the area they wish to specialise in.
