European Union Study Tour

Departing each December and running for two weeks, this annual study tour travels across eight cities in six key members countries of the European Union. You will visit Australian embassies and consulates, Austrade, European Union institutions and other important international bodies. You will be able to engage with spokespeople who will explain their role and their relationship with Australia.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for both undergraduate and postgraduate students to Participate in high- level meetings and encounters in the European world of business and politics.

Swinburne's annual European Union Study Tour is a unique opportunity for students to visit key centres of the dynamic and increasingly integrated European Union. Throughout the tour, officials and business experts will brief the group on current political and commercial issues.

The tour includes visits to the EU Parliament, the European Commission, EU official banking institutions, the European Court of Justice, the OECD, business and industry organisations, Austrade European market specialists and trade exhibitions.

Locations:

Prague, Berlin, Brussels, Paris, Luxembourg, Frankfurt, Strasbourg, Geneva and Milan

Departure:

The European Union Study Tour departs at the end of the semester 2 exam period which is normally the last week of November, the tour runs for two weeks.

Cost:

Generally the European Union study tour costs $4800 which includes land cost only excluding flights

Who can enrol:

The study tour is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students within all faculties of Swinburne University. Undergraduate students who participate in this unit are eligible to gain up 25 credit points towards their degree. Postgraduate students are eligible to gain 12.5 credit point towards their masters program.

Scholarships:

There are four $1000 scholarships available to the students who demonstrate the leadership and engagement qualities during the tour in additional to preforming well academically.


Faculty Overseas Programs Loan Fund

The Faculty of Business & Enterprise Overseas Programs Loan Fund is made available to students participating in the international programs offered by the Faculty of Business & Enterprise including the European Union Study Tour.
