Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (MEI)

Entrepreneurship is the ability to convert good ideas into profitable commercial ventures.

Swinburne has developed an enviable international reputation for pioneering postgraduate programs in entrepreneurship and innovation. The Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (MEI) program has been completely designed to focus on the specific needs of entrepreneurs and innovators who want to successfully commercialise their innovation. The program is tailored for those who want to create new enterprises, high tech, high growth companies, and for those who want to bring visionary attitudes and possibilities to existing business ventures or non-business enterprises. The MEI is a practical program that encourages students to work on real-life projects of direct relevance and interest.

Entrepreneurship and Innovation

	Entry requirements		Bachelor degree at credit level*
	Work experience		Demonstrated entrepreneurial activity and characteristics usually over a period of 4 years
	English Proficiency		IELTS results - 6.5 with no single band less than 6.0*** TOEFL results - 580 with TWE score not less than 4.5
	Structure		12 core units for the Master 16 units (12 core units + 4 electives) for the Master with Honours
	2008 Fees		Local students: AUD$2,300 per unit (FEE-HELP available) International students: AUD$2,531 per unit
	Intake		February, August

* Applicants who do not hold an appropriate qualification but who have significant relevant work
experience (normally 5 years or more) are encouraged to apply. In some cases, additional preliminary
study may be required. Continuation in the program is determined by academic results.

**Please note: International student visa holders are required to study full-time.

*** If English is not your first language, you must produce evidence of an advanced level of
proficiency in written and spoken English.
