Biography

Russell focusses on productivity improvement in production and use of the built environment. He is one of the worlds experts in the emerging field of location-based management for construction. He is active in developing new management systems based on 5d virtual construction models. His work has application in commercial construction and in civil construction (road, rail and tunneling).

He is Program Leader of Program 2 (People, Processes and Procurement) within the Sustainable Built Environment National Research Centre (SBEnrc), a collaboration between QUT, Curtin and Swinburne Universities with industry and government.

2012 SBEnrc projects include Green Infrastructure Procurement, Off-site manufacture, and Object libraries for construction management.
